Ok England happens to be part of the UK, the UK consists of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Ireland, as in the Republic of Ireland, has been an independant country since 1921. Please when talking about the UK do not refer to it as England (try calling someone from Scotland English and see how well you get on), and when referring to the Republic of Ireland do not refer to it as being part of the UK, (saying this to and Irish person is like saying to an American that the revolution never happened). It makes you look ignorant and pisses a whole lot of people off.
I hope you all have a great night and that 2014 is a less traumatic year for us all xxxx
Snow White and the Huntsman - Not as bad as the critics make out. A bit over long but beautifully shot.
Both though - Charlize Theron is WASTED in both movies.
It looks interesting but if it's not scary I don't want to know.
And because we also need one with our lj name
It's actually a Demon Goat but I thought it very apt for a competition on LJ :P
Thanks eilan for the heads up on this one. Love you babe xxxxx

Our novel Stranger has five viewpoint characters; one, Yuki Nakamura, is
gay and has a boyfriend. Yuki's romance, like the heterosexual ones in
the novel, involves nothing more explicit than kissing.
An agent from a major agency, one which represents a bestselling YA novel in the same genre as ours, called us.
The agent offered to sign us on the condition that we make the gay
character straight, or else remove his viewpoint and all references to
his sexual orientation.
This isn't about that specific agent; we'd gotten other rewrite requests before this one. Previous agents had also offered to take a second look if we did rewrites… including cutting the viewpoint of Yuki, the gay character.
It's time to stand up and demand change. Spread the word everywhere if you are just as angry and outraged by this.
